REVIEW BY KATHY

Oh my dear God I loved this book. I loved the storyline which is about love, but not the kind that begins with a look, a physical attraction, it begins with words. It's two people, one is a young teenaged girl, the other is a man who at 24 is in prison for a murder that he did not commit. Through their writing, a friendship begins and as the years pass their feelings begin to grow into more. She is his sunshine, he - her northern star. The story is so well written, so intuned to what the characters are feeling, saying beyond the words that they write and speak. They capture you and bring you into their story, their lives and you find yourself hoping beyond all hope that these two will actually find each other out in the real world and that their love will heal their past and that they will have an eternity of true happiness.

The characters are amazingly written, right down to the supporting characters, who you will fall in love with and wish you actually knew Mags and Boone. But it's Leigh and Heath who will grab your heart. They are not very complex characters, but they are so well developed in each their own way in this story. The complexity comes further into their story, where truths come into the open and lives are turned upside down. Can they keep hold of each other as everything comes to light? This is where you find yourself hoping that all will end well.

I highly, highly recommend this wonderfully written love story! Hurry, go now!

REVIEW BY BARBARA

OMG - Have you ever read a book that you felt like it was just a part of your soul? This Book touched me in so many ways, I am just not sure where or how to begin to review it without spoiling it for anyone yet at the same time letting people know how truly wonderful this book it and how beautifully it is written. Ms. Rene`, my hat’s off to you with this one.

The story starts with us meeting a 15 year old girl (Leah) that I can best describe as lonely and misunderstood by everyone around her. Leah loves to write and becomes a “pen pal’ to an inmate that she knows only as 0423. He’s an older man, considering her age at the time, and he in prison for 15 years for murder (which he swears he didn’t do). Leah and 0423 (Heath) become each other’s lifeline in ways you just can’t imagine. Heath helps her make her way from a lonely teen to an strong woman and through things you’ll just need to read to imagine; while Leah helps Heath endure his time and renew his will to live life and not just seek revenge. Leah and Heath become closer than a lot of couples yet the two have never met. They definitely have a Love Beyond just their Words yet their lives are far from storybook. This is a heartfelt must read that will have you crying, smiling, laughing and imaging a life just as wild and romantic as Heath and Leah’s. If I could rate this one 10 stars I would do so. Hands down one magnificent story.
